The founders realized there was a significant opportunity to provide value to many fortune 1000 executives managing their IT Spend. During their career at a leading management consultancy they completed several client engagements for several fortune 1000 clients. The founders realized several similar questions were being asked by many executives like, what is my total IT Spend? How do I compare to my industry peers? What is my discretionary vs. non-discretionary spend? Where are areas I can reduce my IT Spend? How should I evaluate storage costs, cloud computing, server virtualization? Many of these questions could be answered if several pieces of common of information is available across all industries or sectors. After solving similar problems over the last 10 years in several industries the founders envisioned a solution with simplicity, based on repeatable processes, and an automated solution that can be updated regularly that included key elements of IT Financial Management. Utilizing IT Financial Management concepts and developing an easy to use product would provide a significant benefit to most executives managing their organizations IT Spend. With the appropriate data and tools available to evaluate products, services, help them understand the total cost to run IT and helping manage their budgets in one tool would allow most executives manage their demands from the business effectively by controlling their IT costs. The founders started a company named Claritia that was Founded in Dallas, TX, in 2011. Claritia is a software company that develops IT financial management product and services. At Claritia, we are focused on bridging the gap between IT Executives and business demands. We aim to bring clarity to the IT financial management by providing IT Cost Transparency, IT Financial Management, and IT Cost Optimization solutions.
